Community Guidelines: Getting the Most from SolomonSignal
SolomonSignal works best when everyone contributes thoughtfully. Here is how to get the most out of the platform.
Submitting Ideas
**Be specific.** "An app for productivity" tells us nothing. "A Pomodoro timer that integrates with Jira and tracks time against tickets" is a real idea we can evaluate.
**Include the problem.** Every idea should clearly state the problem it solves, who has that problem, and how they currently deal with it. Without this context, validation is impossible.
**Accept honest feedback.** The point of validation is to find weaknesses before you invest months building. If the community identifies issues, that is valuable — even when it is uncomfortable.
Forum Participation
**Search before posting.** Your question might already have a thorough answer. The search function and category filters help you find existing discussions.
**Give context.** "My app is not working" is impossible to help with. Include your tech stack, what you have tried, the specific error, and what you expected to happen.
**Answer questions when you can.** The community improves when experienced members share knowledge. Even partial answers are valuable — they help the original poster narrow down the issue.

Product Listings
**Keep descriptions honest.** Accurately describe what your product does today, not what you plan to build eventually. Users trust platforms where listings match reality.
**Respond to feedback.** If someone leaves a comment on your listing, reply. Engagement shows you care about your users and builds credibility.
What We Moderate
We remove spam, self-promotion disguised as questions, and content that does not contribute to the community. We do not moderate opinions — disagreement is healthy as long as it is respectful and constructive.
Repeated violations result in account restrictions. We would rather have a smaller, high-quality community than a large, noisy one.
The Goal
SolomonSignal exists to help builders move from idea to launch with less risk and more support. Every contribution that helps someone else make a better decision strengthens the platform for everyone.
